Breadcrumbs
Breadcrumbs was our entry for the 2014 Global Game Jam event, held in San Francisco, California. The theme was “We don’t see them as they are, we see them as we are.” Our optional diversifier was “I am who I want to be.”
We were heavily inspired by games such as Gone Home, and wanted an atmospheric game exploring a beautiful location and interacting with other characters.
We decided to have the game be based around a duck who is “doing” things for the various characters, but all she is trying to do is get bread for her babies.
Despite being “just” a jam game, this is still one of my favorite things I have ever worked on.
